ITINERARY

Day 1

Arrival in Beijing

As you arrive in Beijing, the vast modern city unfolds before you with wide expressways, towering skyscrapers, and a subtle haze in the distance that gives the skyline a dreamlike quality. Whether you land at the sleek Daxing Airport with its starfish-like design or the bustling Capital Airport, the city greets you with an air of ancient mystery layered beneath modern hustle. The streets are lined with fluttering red lanterns, and tree-lined avenues lead into neighborhoods where the echoes of old dynasties still linger. The evening is yours to rest or wander nearby streets, absorbing the rhythm of Beijing life.

Day 2

Beijing

The day begins at Tiananmen Square, a vast expanse that stirs a sense of scale and solemnity as the morning light washes over the Monument to the People’s Heroes. Directly ahead lies the Forbidden City, its golden roofs glowing under the sun, flanked by crimson walls and intricate imperial carvings. Inside, ancient courtyards and grand halls stretch endlessly, each step echoing with the footsteps of emperors and concubines. In the afternoon, the narrow alleys of the hutongs provide a striking contrast—grey brick walls, wooden doors, and curled eaves whisper stories of old Beijing. You might hear the clink of mahjong tiles or catch the scent of freshly steamed buns as life continues in the timeless rhythm of these lived-in lanes.

Day 3

Beijing

A journey into the hills leads you to the Mutianyu section of the Great Wall, where mist-draped mountains cradle the snaking stone structure. Here, the Wall curves dramatically over ridges and valleys, offering breathtaking views of forested peaks and quiet countryside. The silence is broken only by the crunch of your footsteps and the rustle of mountain winds. On your return to the city, you pass by the iconic Bird’s Nest and Water Cube, architectural marvels from the 2008 Olympics, now standing like gleaming sculptures amid a modern landscape—symbols of a China rooted in tradition yet surging toward the future.

Day 4

Beijing

The morning sun shimmers on Kunming Lake as you explore the Summer Palace, where willows bend over bridges and paddle boats glide across the water. The palace grounds are an imperial dream—ornate corridors, marble balustrades, and panoramic hilltop views. Later, at the Temple of Heaven, harmony reigns as circular temples rise toward the sky, surrounded by centuries-old pines and locals practicing tai chi. As dusk falls, the lively lights of Dashilan Food Street beckon. Steam rises from street stalls, casting a golden hue over the cobbled lanes as aromas of roasted duck, candied fruit, and spicy skewers fill the air. Just nearby, Qianmen Commercial Street blends the charm of Beijing’s past with modern boutique storefronts, buzzing with shoppers and evening energy.

Day 5

Departure from Beijing

Today’s your last day in Beijing, and it’s mostly free. You can take it slow, maybe sleep in a bit, grab a nice breakfast, or take one last walk around the neighborhood near your hotel. If there’s time, you might want to do a little last-minute shopping, or enjoy a final snack maybe some dumplings or milk tea from a local stall. As departure time gets closer, you’ll head to the airport. On the way, the city slips by old alleys, busy roads, familiar spots you’ve seen during your trip. It’s a quiet goodbye, but one that leaves a strong impression. Beijing stays with you, even as you fly home.
